Vision

A safe and healthy working environment and good working conditions for everyone in the Caribbean is a joint responsibility. That is the reason why the Caribbean Safety Standard has been developed.

The Caribbean Health & Safety Foundation is convinced that self-regulation can be an effective contribution to achieving a safe working environment, good working conditions and a better environment. This standard is a pioneering step for the Caribbean. However it will contribute to greater understanding, cooperation and consistency between clients/principals, executive organizations (contractors) and employees.

This approach will not only help to reduce work-related illnesses, reduce accidents and fatalities, but it will also make a positive contribution to the social and economic development of the region.
